2018 Maatangi Whenua: Year 11 Inter-school Geography Competition
This competition is open to schools who are members of the New Zealand Geographical Society Inc. (NZGS)/NZBOGT.
Teams must consist of three Year 11 Students who are currently studying Geography in a Year 11 course. Schools may enter up to two teams. However, if space at a Regional competition is limited, priority will be given to having just one team, from as many schools as possible, and the entry fee for the second team will be refunded.
Entry fee for the Regional Round is $35 per team. This is non-refundable. This must be received by Monday 25 June 2018 – no late entries can be accepted as resources have to be printed and dispatched and the resource developer, who is teaching full time, needs final numbers before the end of Term 2 so that this can be done during the break.
Regional Rounds will be held across NZ in each of the six NZGS regions.
Where there are two or more events within one NZGS region, the team with the highest score will then be the Regional winner.
