The Minister for the Environment has appointed a Board of Inquiry to inquire into an report on the proposed National Policy Statement. The Board is calling for public submissions on the proposed National Policy Statement. The closing date for submissions is 5pm 23 January 2009.

Submissions must be made directly to the Board, as stated in the public notice. You can view and download copies of the public notice, the proposed National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management, the evaluation report and the submission form by going to the Ministry for the Environment's website: http://www.mfe.govt.nz/rma/central/nps/consultation/
