Murray Fastier is a senior lecturer in Social Science at Christchurch College of Education.  Prior to joining the College in 1996 he was HoD Geography and Social Studies (PR3) at Linwood High School.  He has wide experience at the national level in the development and use of assessment methods.  Murray is currently NZBoGT Deputy Chairperson, is responsible for the Teacher Education and Exam Survey portfolios and jointly responsible for the Assessment Portfolio.  Previously he has been a Canterbury Regional Representative on the Board.
