Lex Chalmers is the Waikato Branch Representative on Council.  He also represents university geography departments on the New Zealand Board of Geography Teachers.  He has worked with GIS competitions, NCEA development, professional development with geography teachers and cartographic education.  Lex has taught at the University of Waikato since 1975.
